A vendor is sought to design, install, and support a GPS system for a fleet of 150 to 160 golf carts in Kentucky. The project entails providing both the necessary hardware and software, as well as handling installation and eventual removal of GPS units. Each GPS unit must feature a screen with a minimum diagonal size of 9 inches and be securely mounted on the center front underside of each cart's roof.
The selected system must be robust enough to withstand extreme weather conditions, including sub-zero temperatures, rain, sleet, snow, ice, and high heat exceeding 100 degrees. The GPS units should be hardwired to draw power from the golf carts and must automatically power on or off with the ignition key. The proposal should also include pricing per unit, which covers installation and comprehensive training for staff on using the GPS management software across computers, tablets, and smartphones.
