Vendor needs to provide Geotab vehicle tracking system. Fleet tracking system should be implemented with cloud-based software that provides an easy way to deliver data operated in a single easy to use software–as–a–service (SaaS) platform. The GPS proposed hardware must be capable of automatically detecting the engine type of the vehicle it is installed. The application, bidder owned storage data bases (data warehouse), and program interface (PI) will be software as a service (SaaS). The map display must be such that vehicle position and status automatically update on the screen without any input from the end-user in real-time. The proposed application must support geographic information systems (GIS) and environmental systems research institute (ESRI) shapefiles, and interactive GIS data including, but not limited to streetlights, land use grids, and parcel data as a map layer. Provide real-time alerts via e-mail or test alerts to designated management end-users on how the vehicle is driven based on flagged unwanted behaviors at a minimum, speeding, hard braking, undue acceleration, idle, landmark crossing, danger to other vehicles on the highway or even pedestrians. Provide a comprehensive vehicle tracking system (VTS) and global positioning system (GPS). The contract period will be for one year.
