An electrical utility in Arizona is seeking consulting and maintenance services for its Geographic Information System (GIS). The selected vendor will be responsible for supporting the ongoing operation and development of the GIS, including the use of Trimble GPS units for accurate field data collection and providing personnel with assistance in utilizing GIS tools for electrical system mapping.

Key responsibilities will include collecting, analyzing, and evaluating data involving electrical system facilities, storing this information within the GIS, and ensuring the continual update and verification of mapped data utilizing standard field sampling techniques. The consultant will provide daily advice for maintaining and updating GIS records to reflect any power system modifications, and will be required to manage and update an Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) GIS database tailored for electric utilities.

Additionally, the consultant will offer expertise in the design, development, and management of the GIS database and ensure the seamless integration and maintenance of GIS interfaces with related systems such as GPS hardware, personal computers, data collectors, printers, and plotters. High standards of quality assurance and control must be upheld to ensure data accuracy and standardization throughout all processes. The current system operates on ArcGIS Pro.
