The government authority in Virginia Beach, Virginia is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive civil engineering support and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) services. Scope of work includes traffic engineering services to support design efforts, such as intersection analysis, VISSIM and Synchro modeling, and data collection. Additional responsibilities involve preparing preliminary engineering reports and implementing intersection improvements, including turn lane additions, modifications, roundabouts, and other innovative intersection designs.
Vendors are expected to deliver traffic signal design services covering both new installations and modifications to existing signals, including foundation design. The work also encompasses preparation, analysis, and review of environmental documentation such as EIR, LERP, and NEPA. Further duties include designing improvements for intersection pedestrian access; developing shared-use paths, trails, sidewalks, and asphalt walkways; as well as conducting conceptual plan development, feasibility analyses, constructability reviews, and providing cost estimates. The contract term is for one year.
