The consultant will conduct prospect research and develop cultivation strategies for individual, corporate, and foundation donors, consistent with ethical standards and public-sector requirements. Responsibilities include developing a comprehensive fundraising campaign structure and timeline (with campaign phases, benchmarks, and coordination with public funding sources and project schedules), developing campaign materials and messaging aligned with city branding and the park’s historic character, creating content for print, digital, and social platforms, and preparing press releases and key messages. The consultant will also provide guidance on campaign tracking, recordkeeping, and reporting practices suitable for a public-sector fundraising effort, support outreach, solicitation planning, and follow-through with donors and sponsors, and coach City representatives for solicitation efforts.
