The client seeks vendors to supply a fully integrated multiplex PCR platform suitable for research and use as a point-of-use system, with additional functionality in public health laboratories for rapid syndromic testing of infectious diseases. The preferred platform should be capable of running at least four samples simultaneously and must utilize one or more kits that can test for 40 or more targets per run—including at least 20 bacterial species, five yeast species, and 10 antibiotic resistance genes from blood cultures within one hour.
Platforms must have kits that are documented in the scientific literature and feature automation of multiple PCR-related processes, streamlining workflow for researchers and medical laboratory scientists by reducing sample processing time. The system should provide scientifically defensible molecular identification and determination of several health-relevant antimicrobial resistance genes, supporting high-quality, rapid diagnostics in a research or public health setting.
