DESCRIPTION

The County of Sacramento, California, is seeking a qualified provider to deliver professional forensic pathology services supporting the jurisdiction of the County Coroner, in accordance with applicable state law. The selected vendor will conduct forensic examinations, medicolegal autopsies, and external examinations to determine the cause and manner of death for cases falling under the coroner's authority.

Responsibilities include comprehensive case reviews, evaluation of investigative reports, medical records, toxicology results, laboratory data, radiology studies, and related evidence. In addition, the provider will offer consultation with coroner personnel on death investigations, coordinate with law enforcement, prosecutors, public health agencies, defense counsel, and other authorized entities, and provide detailed reporting and expert testimony as needed.
