DESCRIPTION


A government authority in Beaufort, South Carolina is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive food program services. The contractor will be responsible for serving nutritious, wholesome, and palatable meals and special diets from a 28-day cycle menu, ensuring proper temperatures and quality. Meals and food service are to be provided three times every twenty-four hours, seven days a week, with no more than fourteen hours between the evening meal and breakfast.

The contractor must manage both civilian and inmate kitchen staff, preparing pre-plated meals to be served on thermal insulated trays. Consistency is required, with the same meals (including food and beverage items) being served to all inmates at any given meal. The contract period is for one year. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 2, 2026.
