A government authority in New York, New York is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive food operations services. The scope includes food menu planning, purchasing, preparation, and presentation, along with management of dining rooms, cafeterias, catering, and related food service functions. The selected vendor will also be responsible for food service worker training and certification, staffing plans, and operational highlights.
The services are intended to deliver fresh, nutritious, affordable, and appealing food and beverages while promoting health and well-being. The vendor is expected to support healthy eating by encouraging consumption of vegetables, fruit, whole grains, and minimally processed foods, while minimizing salt, added sugars, saturated fats, red meat, and artificial additives. The scope also includes planning and implementation of new dining locations, modifications to existing operations, and ensuring access to healthy food.
In addition, the vendor will provide marketing and benchmarking support, including outcomes, challenges, opportunities, communications planning, merchandising, promotions, and catering menus, pricing, and policies. The contract term is five years. A pre-proposal visit is scheduled for May 19, 2026, and questions are due by May 26, 2026.
