The government authority in Sacramento, California is seeking a vendor to provide fiscal consultant services focused on supporting Medi-Cal and behavioral health program claiming processes. The selected vendor will be responsible for offering fiscal and accounting consultation, reviewing and enhancing current claiming procedures, addressing audit findings, making process improvement recommendations, and identifying weaknesses in internal controls to lower audit risk.

Additional responsibilities include assisting the Fiscal team with Cost Report issues, resolving audit findings, preparing documentation, and compiling audit-related materials. The vendor will create audit workpapers, develop position statements for audit responses, and represent the County in audit meetings and hearings as necessary. Furthermore, written documentation and workflow guidance must be provided to assist with staff training and implementation. The contract period will be for one year.
