The State of Ohio is seeking a qualified consulting firm to support its finance transformation strategy. The selected vendor will conduct a thorough inventory of current vendors, systems, integrations, and data sources, including data transmission methods, schedules, and file types. In addition, the consultant will analyze and compare the existing chart of account structures within the agency’s finance system to ensure a comprehensive understanding of data utilization for regulatory compliance, internal analysis, and external reporting.
Key responsibilities include evaluating the current performance of the finance function to identify gaps, and designing a target operating model that outlines the desired future state of financial data, processes, technology, and talent. The consulting firm will be tasked with developing a strategic roadmap that details the steps, priorities, and timeline needed to achieve this transformation and maximize organizational value. Recommendations for appropriate staffing resources for both the Finance and Information Technology teams will also be required to support the implementation of a new general ledger accounting system.
Interested vendors should note that a mandatory question and answer virtual session is scheduled for February 20, 2026. All questions concerning the project must be submitted no later than the same date.
