An organization in Hawaii is seeking a qualified vendor to facilitate the development of a strategic positioning plan that addresses complex social and environmental challenges such as water, energy, and mineral resource overexploitation, geohazards, and environmental and climate change. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing a comprehensive suite of deliverables that clearly articulates the organization's vision and mission within the context of these issues.
Responsibilities include reviewing relevant documentation, such as previous strategic plans and foundational reports, and developing a detailed project plan with defined milestones, timelines, and deliverables. The vendor will collect and analyze data to draft an overarching strategic plan and identify emerging themes, including climate change and communications. Throughout the process, the vendor will engage stakeholders and key partners, presenting draft plans and academic assessments for review and facilitating feedback sessions to ensure diverse perspectives are incorporated.
Upon receiving feedback, the vendor will revise and finalize the strategic plans and academic assessments, delivering a comprehensive final package. Additionally, the vendor will provide recommendations for ongoing monitoring and evaluating progress toward the strategic goals outlined in the plan. The contract period for this work is one year.
