PanTexas Deterrence, LLC (PXD) is seeking expressions of interest from qualified vendors for the construction of a new High Explosive, Synthesis, Formulation, and Production (HESFP) facility at the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas. The facility, totaling approximately 98,500 gross square feet and comprising five structures, is intended to replace aging infrastructure and will be designed to meet current codes, standards, and operational needs at this critical site.

The selected subcontractor will be responsible for providing all necessary parts, labor, equipment, materials, documentation, inspection, spare parts, personal protective equipment, and project management required to complete the facility. Scope of work includes site preparation, utility demolition, clearing and grubbing, minor earthwork, permanent and temporary security fence installation, and utility connections for domestic water, sanitary sewer, steam, and natural gas from existing site locations to new demarcation points.

Located in Carson County, approximately 17 miles northeast of Amarillo, the Pantex Plant is a Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration-owned, contractor-operated site. The new HESFP facility will ensure the modernization and continued capability to produce high explosive material in support of the site’s national security mission.
