The selected vendor will provide excess workers compensation insurance program services in accordance with relevant workers’ compensation laws. Injured employees will be treated by an assigned occupational medicine facility, ensuring timely and effective care. The vendor is expected to deliver all services typically required for the placement and ongoing servicing of an excess workers compensation policy. The program emphasizes prompt reporting of work-related injury claims, with the objective of having claims reported within 24 hours or as soon as possible after an incident.

A committee convenes as needed to monitor safety awareness, workers’ compensation programs, and general claims activity, and to propose improvements. The contract will involve supporting the administration of the workers compensation safety and risk management program while coordinating with a third-party administrator who manages claim administration. The initial contract term will be for a period of one year.
