A North Carolina airport is seeking an experienced event coordinator to manage and execute a dynamic range of marketing initiatives, special events, and live entertainment programming. The selected coordinator will act as the primary partner for planning, organizing, and overseeing events and performances designed to enhance the passenger experience, support concession programs, and align with the airport's promotional calendar.
Key responsibilities include sourcing, contracting, and scheduling local performers and live music acts in alignment with event schedules, ensuring the specified number of performers for each occasion, and serving as the single point of contact for all live acts to guarantee high-quality performances and professional conduct. The coordinator will also provide marketing assets such as performer photos, website links, audio samples, and written permissions for promotional use.
The coordinator will manage all aspects of on-site activities, including procurement, delivery, setup, and breakdown of event materials, signage, displays, and related equipment for special events like sidewalk sales, store openings, and concession promotions. The role requires strong customer service and interpersonal skills, the ability to engage with tenants, airport staff, and passengers, and the capability to handle physical event duties. Seasonal and holiday-themed programming should be incorporated when relevant, and adherence to enhanced event management, problem-solving, and time-management standards is expected to ensure smooth and successful event execution.
