A government authority in California is soliciting proposals for engineering services related to hydrogeologic assessment, regulatory review, and preliminary siting recommendations. The scope of work includes reviewing existing groundwater elevation data, hydrogeologic studies, drilling and well logs, water quality data, pollution sources, flood hazard information, groundwater management plans, and other pertinent planning documents.

The selected vendor will be responsible for identifying data gaps and recommending additional data collection activities as needed, such as hydrogeological fieldwork or geophysical surveys. The evaluation will consider potential well interference with existing municipal and private wells, assessment of separation distances, floodplain limitations, and proximity to known sources of contamination. Further, the review will cover hydrogeologic suitability, groundwater quality, environmental impacts, regulatory feasibility, surrounding land use, site access, ownership, and engineering feasibility, as well as planning-level cost estimates.

Proposers are also expected to analyze available water quality data for each potential site, discuss uncertainties related to data gaps, and address environmental and regulatory considerations. All questions regarding this opportunity must be submitted no later than December 23, 2025.
