Vendor needs to provide engineering, design and construction administration services to the government authority located in Pomona, NY. • Assess and investigate the existing sewer system and site conditions. • Precisely identify the existing sewer line’s path, depth, and connection points, including laterals serving individual properties. • Survey the site and provide a topographical survey to map existing features, including other utilities (water, gas, electric), street layout, and landscaping, to prevent conflicts during sewer replacement. • Develop a soil boring plan to be used in the event that the sewer is recommended to be constructed in a new trench. The district shall obtain a third party to conduct the soil borings based on the plan’s proposed quantity and locations, under separate contract. Careful consideration shall be made for the proposed sewer and any soil borings at and adjacent to the railroad crossing. • Obtain necessary permits from local municipality, which often incorporate local design standards and specifications. • Provide engineering design based on hydraulic and structural calculations to ensure the new system functions correctly for its intended lifespan.
