The Town of Southbury, Connecticut is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive engineering consulting services. The selected firm will deliver a wide range of support including highway and bridge design, preparation of bid documents and specifications, environmental permitting, landscape architecture, civil engineering, project planning and administration, as well as traffic engineering and construction inspection services. Land surveying and assistance with grant applications are also required as part of the engagement.

Additional responsibilities include conducting feasibility studies and preparing designs associated with building and equipment rehabilitation, providing special inspection services to ensure building code compliance, and offering expert testimony for litigation matters. The scope further comprises delivering public presentations, analyzing marketing strategies for recyclables, preparing and assisting with the implementation of recycling plans, and performing health, safety, and environmental audits and inspections.

The vendor will also contribute to the design, cost estimation, permitting, and construction administration of roads, bridges, traffic signals, and pedestrian and bicycle facilities. Comprehensive traffic studies, including data collection and capacity or queuing analysis, are part of the required services.
