A government agency in British Columbia is seeking a highly skilled consultant to provide engagement and communications support services for a significant land use planning project. This joint planning initiative is focused on developing a shared understanding and agreement on land use zoning and management direction, with the goals of protecting, conserving, and restoring culturally and ecologically important landscapes and waterways, while also fostering opportunities for a diversified economic future.
The consultant will be responsible for creating clear, accessible, and well-designed public materials such as newsletters, fact sheets, agency updates, and web content. Additionally, the role involves offering facilitation support to the planning partners, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement, and managing meetings characterized by diverse and sometimes polarized viewpoints. This may include facilitating sessions with specific stakeholders, as well as organizing and leading multi-party engagements such as webinars and in-person workshops.
The contract for this engagement and communications support service will be for a period of one year.
