DESCRIPTION
A government authority in Miami, Florida is seeking a vendor to provide employee benefits consulting services for a one-year contract term. The selected consultant will support a broad employee benefits program serving eligible employees, retirees, COBRA participants, and eligible dependents.
The scope includes consulting and analysis related to medical and pharmacy coverage, dental, vision, wellness programs, employee assistance programs, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, legal plans, disability coverage, defined and deferred compensation plans, and COBRA administration. The consultant will also provide annual financial forecasting for the agency’s self-funded medical plan and supplemental plans, prepare renewal projection reports, analyze financial data from the third-party administrator, and validate proposed rates based on underwriting methodology.
Additional responsibilities include developing actuarially based cost projections for plan design alternatives, reviewing current plan experience and industry trends, incorporating enrollment and contribution assumptions, integrating claims data from health and pharmacy providers, and delivering detailed monthly reporting and ad hoc analysis. Designated benefits staff must also be given access to run reports. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for May 20, 2026.
