The State of Alaska is seeking a qualified vendor to provide a hosted electronic service authorization solution integrated with its Medicaid Management Information System. The vendor will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive software solution that meets robust privacy and security requirements while managing all aspects of service authorization, utilizing the vendor’s software, call center, and clinical and administrative staff.

The scope of work includes the implementation, configuration, testing, maintenance, and hosting of the Service Authorization solution, with a preference for Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) or Software as a Service (SaaS) models. The solution must be able to route service authorization requests to the appropriate personnel for review, facilitate seamless data and process integration to minimize duplicate efforts, and provide ongoing support services.

Additional requirements encompass achieving initial CMS certification, supporting ongoing reporting, and ensuring continual compliance with all relevant security and privacy standards. The planned contract term is five years.
