A Texas agency is seeking a comprehensive Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for its network of multi-location clinics. The ideal system must support clinical, research, administrative, educational, and operational functions, and be equipped with features such as patient care management, billing and revenue cycle management, integrated patient communication tools, appointment scheduling, and inventory management for retail goods, including optical products.
The EHR should enhance service quality in both primary and specialty eye care, streamline clinical operations, and support the agency’s teaching mission. It must be designed to reduce cognitive workload for staff and facilitate future integration with advanced diagnostic technologies and artificial intelligence. The platform should be flexible, available as a cloud-based or on-premises solution, and capable of concurrent use by approximately 125 faculty, 450 students, and 175 staff. Additionally, the system must efficiently handle a high patient volume, supporting around 50,000 visits annually across multiple clinic locations.
