Fond Du Lac County Department Of Human Services
Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
The government authority in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin is seeking a vendor to manage and deliver an Elder Nutrition Program service aimed at frail, at-risk, and vulnerable older adults. This program focuses on producing and distributing high-quality, nutritious congregate and home-delivered meals that meet the unique dietary needs of individuals aged 60 and older. Each meal must supply at least one-third of the daily recommended nutrients for good health.
The program's goals include reducing hunger, food insecurity, and malnutrition among seniors while supporting their health, independence, and social engagement. Vendors are expected to maximize available resources, deliver the greatest number of meals possible, and prioritize service to those with the greatest social or economic need—especially low-income, rural, minority, or otherwise at-risk older adults. Program sustainability, fiscal stability, transparency, and compliance are essential, and coordination with other services is required to avoid duplication and enhance efficiency.
In addition to meal provision, the program encourages socialization, offers nutrition education and counseling, and serves as a gateway to other community-based services. While participants are encouraged to contribute toward meal costs, no eligible person will be denied service due to inability or unwillingness to contribute.
