The Cook County Sheriff’s Office is soliciting responses from experienced trainers to provide a full range of instructional services for civilian and sworn personnel, including police officers, court services deputies, and correctional officers. The training curriculum covers six subject areas: Crisis Intervention and Mental Health, Corrections-Specific Instruction, Use of Force, Law Enforcement Ethics and Relationship with the Public, Criminal Investigations & Trial, and Criminal and Civil Law Instruction. The contract term is five years with two one-year renewal options.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Respondents must be approved by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board (ILETSB) to instruct law-related curriculum
  • Selected instructors must apply for ILETSB certification within 30 calendar days of award of contract
  • Must provide audited financial statements for the last three fiscal years
  • Must provide resumes and curriculum vitae for all key personnel
  • Must provide three references for each key personnel
  • Must maintain compliance with all local, County, state, and federal laws and regulations relating to standards for law enforcement and correctional institutions
