Get full access to this RFP
A Florida-based organization is seeking a vendor to provide economic dispatch software designed to optimize generation scheduling, fuel forecasting, and transaction modeling. The primary objectives are to develop optimized hourly integrated dispatch schedules for short-term unit commitment (up to 7 days), while incorporating sophisticated features such as fuel consumption forecasting, detailed generation unit modeling, and transaction costing.
The desired software should efficiently optimize the scheduling and dispatch of generating units—including solar generation, energy storage assets, and transmission transactions. It must allow users to specify fuel types for each generating asset, accommodating scenarios where multiple units share the same fuel, thereby enabling the application of global fuel limits. Additionally, the software should support analysis of both prospective and historical trades, and provide the capability for real-time transaction costing based on the dispatch plan.
Key requirements include comprehensive modeling for all types of generation assets and advanced transaction modeling capabilities. This should allow transactions to be simulated as part of a standard operational study or as part of dedicated transaction evaluation studies. Interested vendors must address all related questions by January 15, 2026.
