A municipality in Maryland is seeking a qualified vendor to develop a comprehensive economic development strategic plan. The purpose of this plan is to provide strategic direction and guidance to position the city as an attractive destination to live, work, play, and invest in—whether through tourism, business, or real estate.

Key responsibilities include assisting local leadership in promoting the retention and expansion of existing businesses, encouraging the formation of new business enterprises, and attracting new businesses to the city. The vendor will also be tasked with initiatives to create, retain, and attract jobs, foster education and communication between the city’s business community and the public, and manage information related to the city’s workforce and economic climate.
