Summary:
Ontario seeks a vendor to develop and implement an economic development and tourism strategy, including stakeholder engagement and brand strategy recommendations.
(1) Vendor needs to provide economic development and tourism strategy services. – New strategy will build on the strategic initiatives that were identified as part of agency 2023–2026 Strategic Action Plan Update to the 10–year Partnering for the Future Strategic Plan 2020–2030. – Develop and implement a stakeholder engagement plan that effectively engages both internal and external stakeholders and ensures ideas, opinions, visions, values, and priorities are accurately captured. – Facilitate all meetings, workshops, interviews, etc. in a forward–looking, participation–oriented, and productive manner to ensure that all information gathered is both relevant and reliable. – Develop recommendations for an economic development ‘Brand Strategy’ – All tourism related strategic recommendations that will form the basis of the tourism portion of the strategy should be a direct result of the consultant’s market analysis, the stakeholder engagement process and industry leading best practices. (2) All questions must be submitted no later than December 19, 2025. (3) The contract period will be for five years.
