The solution will serve as a smart, centralized repository for enterprise-wide drawings, providing users with efficient intake, storage, and retrieval capabilities. Each drawing stored in the system will include details such as the associated project and the reason for library inclusion.

Key requirements include automated validation of drawing standards during the intake process, allowing submitters to upload drawings and receive instant feedback on compliance with application-specific standards. Additionally, the solution must support automated data extraction, capturing point, line, and polygon representations of physical assets and logical boundaries, with conversion into a standardized GIS format.

The project also involves a one-time migration of existing electronic drawings from current network drives and Canon’s Océ systems to the new management solution. This initiative aims to streamline drawing management, enhance data accuracy, and improve accessibility across the organization.
