The State of Maryland is seeking a cloud-based, off-the-shelf document accessibility remediation tool to automate and streamline the process of making digital documents accessible. The tool should significantly decrease manual remediation time by 25–50%, support scalability for varying organizational needs, and provide integrated system training to facilitate user adoption.
Vendors must ensure the solution complies with the latest accessibility standards, including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and 2.2 as well as PDF/UA. The platform should be easy to learn, support multiple document formats, and be offered with flexible licensing options to accommodate both small (5–10 users) and larger teams (10–20 users) on either user-based or concurrent licenses. The selected provider will also be responsible for maintaining the solution and providing ongoing technical support and updates for a contract period of one year.
