The selected provider will be responsible for clearing and removing debris from public roads to ensure the safe passage of emergency vehicles, damage assessment teams, and to support the restoration of critical infrastructure.
Additional duties include the removal of debris from travel lanes, shoulders, bridges, and critical infrastructure, as well as upland vessels. The vendor must also remove and dispose of derelict and abandoned vessels and vehicles located in waterways and on land, as well as clean sand from roadways and transport cleaned sand from processing sites to staging areas. The collection of vegetative debris such as trees, limbs, and brush is required, and the provider must be able to cut and remove only the portion of debris extending into public rights-of-way from private property.
