An Irish university seeks a vendor to implement a specialist digital library platform designed to serve as a repository for both digitised and born-digital assets. The solution should support ingesting and preserving various types of content, including robust metadata management, creation, and cross walking for seamless migration. The platform must facilitate internal management, engagement, promotion, teaching, and research activities, with intuitive search and retrieval capabilities utilizing appropriate metadata schemas.
The system should enhance discovery and sharing of digital assets both within and beyond the university, aiming to increase engagement among the scholarly community and the general public. Preservation capabilities are essential, either natively or via seamless integration with an external preservation repository. Additional requirements include prompt customer support, initial training, effortless migration from the current platform, and browser-based access, with compatibility for uploading content using major browsers. The solution must also provide backup and storage features. The contract will cover a period of three years.
Prospective vendors must submit questions by March 25, 2026.

• Proven expertise in digital library or repository solutions
• Experience with academic or research institutions
• Capability in large-scale metadata management and migration
• Strong customer support and training offerings
