Vendor needs to provide destination development director service. The destination development director role provides strategic leadership and oversight of county–wide destination branding, directs tourism promotional marketing, ensures alignment across various destination management initiatives, and focuses on economic outcomes, responsible recreation messaging, events promotion, and mainstreets marketing. Ensure that strategy, goals, and activities align with municipal and County goals, leverage essential community partnerships, honor unique Chaffee County characteristics and landscapes, are grounded in sustainability ethos, represent the diverse interests of the community, and integrate with economic development objectives and other complementary local and regional plans. Develop, contribute to, manage, and monitor engagement with print collateral, promotion placements, digital content, including on the tourism website and social media platforms, providing monthly reports to the destination management council on content engagement and efficacy, including ROI metrics. Providing expert consultation and strategic support on campaigns promoting recreation, arts and culture, downtown shops, and lodging options, etc.
