DESCRIPTION
The government authority in Edgewood, Kentucky is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive demolition services, including the removal of an existing single-story school building with a flat rubber membrane roof. The project scope includes slab on grade construction removal, offsite disposal of all building materials, and demolition of related site structures such as a flag pole, two light poles, bollards, and a wooden storage shed.
After demolition, the contractor will construct a temporary parking lot over the building's footprint and install a crushed stone pad for a new, owner-provided shed matching the size of the existing metal shed. All mechanical equipment, including air conditioning and refrigeration units, must be properly removed and disposed of, with HVAC refrigerants drained by the owner prior to demolition. The contract also involves the removal of two inground fuel oil tanks, all associated piping and equipment, proper void filling and asphalting, and restoration of all disturbed areas outside the building footprint with top soil, seed, and straw for erosion control.
The contract period will be for one year. A pre-bid site visit is scheduled for June 12, 2026.
