A California agency is seeking a qualified vendor to provide a hosted demand response scheduling and dispatching software system for paratransit and public transit operations. The system will be utilized for complementary paratransit, local general public demand response services, and route deviation services.
The desired solution must incorporate state-of-the-art automatic vehicle location (AVL) using GPS technologies, as well as advanced hardware and software, including mobile data computer technology. Key functionalities should include client intake and eligibility registration, vehicle and driver management, trip reservations, and automated fare assignments. The software will also be responsible for dispatching, billing, generating all required federal and state reports, geo-coding and mapping of rider origins and destinations by eligibility, and maintaining documentation of customer service requests and responses.
A user-friendly client interface must be available to allow riders to request and pay for rides via web or app-based platforms. The system should facilitate automation of daily operational and management functions, seamless GIS integration, advanced scheduling, and routing capabilities. The objective is to enhance operational efficiency, improve customer service, and streamline billing and reporting processes for the agency.
