(1) Vendor needs to provide data platform selection and implementation. The platform is intended to provide a scalable data foundation, supporting a wide range of operational and analytical needs and enabling to evolve from descriptive reporting toward more advanced forecasting, optimization, and AI–enabled insights as business needs mature. The Solution refers to the combined set of platform products, technologies, components, implementation services, configuration, integration, data operations processes, and enablement activities required. Non–SaaS components must be deployable in county Microsoft Azure cloud landing zone. The Solution must integrate with BC Ferries’ identity, access, and cybersecurity controls, including Entra ID, encryption, monitoring, and audit requirements. Ingesting and processing IT and OT data from vessels, terminals, enterprise and SaaS applications, sensors, gateways, 3rd party data sources, and future data sources. Supporting near real time (1 to 60 seconds), batch, streaming, and advanced analytics workloads. Delivering standardized, governed, domain–aligned data products and self–service analytics. Enabling modern data governance, catalog, lineage, metadata management, and stewardship. Integrating with existing and future BC Ferries applications and operational technologies. Supporting DataOps, scalable engineering practices, and evolving operational needs. Enabling to expand internal analytical, operational, and platform management capability over time. (2) The contract period will be three years.
