The government authority located in Winder, Georgia seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive data cabling services. The scope includes installation of fiber optic backbone cabling for all inter-building and intra-building backbone wiring, covering all MDF to IDF and vertical riser applications. Fiber routing, termination, and labeling must be completed in rack-mounted enclosures, with all fibers permanently labeled at both ends indicating their originating and terminating locations. All unused fibers are required to be terminated for future use, and LC style connectors shall be used for all terminations.
The project also involves the installation of Category 6 and 6A cabling, with cables specified to be four pair 24 AWG bare solid copper conductors insulated with plenum-rated material, as detailed in the project appendix. For wireless array data locations, Category 6A cables are to be used, terminated in a biscuit jack or similar enclosure above the ceiling, and colored yellow. Data jacks in the patch panel at these points shall match in yellow. For security camera locations, Category 6 cables must be used, terminated in a biscuit jack or similar enclosure above the ceiling, and colored green to distinguish from other services, with matching green data jacks in the patch panel.
All questions regarding the scope must be submitted no later than March 18, 2026.
