The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) plans to award a sole source contract to Carahsoft Technology Corporation for the integration of Powerscribe360 with Oracle Health EMR across all VISN 12 VA Medical Centers. The selected contractor will be responsible for initiating and completing the system integration of all existing Powerscribe360 instances with the Oracle Health electronic medical record platform.
Carahsoft Technology Corporation serves as the sole government healthcare distributor for Nuance Communications, the provider of Powerscribe software and services. All integrations will be performed through Nuance Communications personnel, who are the only professionals certified and authorized to implement and support PowerScribe systems. Due to the proprietary nature of Nuance's software and service delivery, all related products and services must be obtained through Carahsoft and subcontracted to Nuance Communications. This approach ensures that only trained and certified personnel provide the necessary integration and support services required by the VA Medical Centers.
