A government authority in North Carolina is seeking qualified consultants or consulting teams to provide comprehensive construction project management services. The selected consultant will support the agency throughout all project phases, including pre-construction, scheduling, safety, and quality control.

Key responsibilities will include participating in design progress meetings, reviewing and providing feedback on proposed design elements, and offering recommendations related to construction costs, constructability, and value engineering. The consultant will also assist with developing project schedules, sequencing, phasing plans, and strategies to minimize disruptions to ongoing transit operations.

Additional tasks will involve preparing and reviewing site-specific safety and security plans in compliance with all relevant guidelines, coordinating with the project’s prime construction firm and subcontractors, and supervising construction quality control activities. The consultant will be involved in materials testing, enforcing safe work practices, facilitating compliance with permit requirements, utility relocations, right-of-way improvements, and conducting construction and materials inspections. The contract will be for a one-year period.
