A Washington, DC government authority is seeking a qualified firm to provide Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) services for a comprehensive baggage improvements program at an airport facility. The scope of this initiative includes enhancements to the baggage handling systems, rehabilitation and renovation of the main terminal and concourses, as well as reconfiguration and expansion of terminal lobby and baggage areas to improve operational capacity and future readiness.
Key objectives of the program involve increasing the reliability and capacity of existing baggage systems, maintaining and upgrading terminal and concourse facilities, and expanding ticketing and baggage check-in areas. The project encompasses improvements, expansion, reconfiguration, and replacement of current systems, with renovations addressing ceilings, floors, columns, kiosks, restrooms, elevators, and building operational systems. Additionally, there will be updates and reorganizations to accommodate new ticket counters, scales, improved baggage conveyor access, and enhanced passenger and baggage flows throughout the terminal.
