City Of Phoenix
Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
The government authority located in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking a qualified Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) to provide comprehensive preconstruction and construction services. The selected CMAR will initially support the agency in preconstruction roles, including providing detailed cost estimates, project planning, and scheduling, as well as evaluating systems and constructability.
Responsibilities include overseeing construction means and methods, soliciting bids from prequalified subcontractors using the agency's selection processes, and ensuring that project phasing and scheduling minimize interruptions to airport operations. The CMAR will participate in setting and achieving goals for local and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) participation, ensure adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards, and support the selection of green building materials.
Additional tasks involve providing advice to the city on efficient project delivery methods, assisting with permitting, performing long-lead procurement studies, and developing safe work plans for active airfield environments. The CMAR must also minimize impacts to tenants and select appropriate subcontractors and suppliers for the project.
