A government authority in Boston, MA is seeking a qualified provider for construction management at risk services to oversee major building upgrades. This project will involve the replacement of the existing four-boiler system with a high-efficiency geothermal system, installation of energy-efficient casement-style windows, enhancement of the mechanical heating, cooling, and ventilation distribution systems, and improvements to the building’s roof membrane and insulation. Additional upgrades include air and vapor barrier enhancements and refinishing the interior faces of all exterior walls, as well as the installation of a central air conditioning system.
The selected construction management firm will be required to assign a professional project scheduler with relevant experience and utilize appropriate project scheduling software. Responsibilities also include identifying and implementing temporary construction and mitigation measures to facilitate effective phasing and utilization. The firm will need to manage and coordinate all trade contractors, oversee site offices and administration, address cost estimate variances arising from design document discrepancies, and ensure completion of punch list items, utility checks, and initial system startups. This opportunity is intended for experienced firms adept at managing complex building renovation projects.
