The City of Palmdale, CA is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive construction management and observation services for street sewer, storm drain, and street renovation projects. The selected firm will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction management, including reviewing project plans, specifications, and engineer's estimates. They will provide expert advice on constructability and offer recommendations to increase construction efficiency while minimizing impacts to property owners and the traveling public.

Responsibilities include utilizing and managing all construction documents through VPM software, preparing and reviewing contract change order requests, maintaining accessible project files, and submitting bi-weekly project budget spreadsheets to demonstrate the current status of each project. The construction manager will collaborate with contractors to resolve issues proactively, supervise construction observation and inspection activities, and ensure daily inspector reports are reviewed and documented within VPM. The consultant must provide one experienced full-time construction observer dedicated to the project.
