A municipal agency in British Columbia is seeking proposals from experienced branding, marketing, and design firms for the comprehensive development of a municipal brand. The project encompasses the creation of a unified and authentic visual identity, a clear messaging framework, and detailed brand application guidelines. The goal is to design a brand system that reflects the unique character of the municipality while being flexible, modern, and suitable for diverse communication channels, including digital, print, signage, and promotional materials.
The selected vendor will conduct in-depth research, including reviewing municipal documents and engaging with stakeholders, as well as performing competitive benchmarking. Deliverables include brand positioning, a messaging framework, and the development of a compelling brand narrative. The visual identity component will involve designing a primary logo with multiple orientations, secondary marks, and a defined colour palette. Additional materials to be developed include templates for letterhead, business cards, email signatures, reports, and mock-ups for web and social media.
A comprehensive brand standards manual with detailed usage guidelines and a complete package of design files in all necessary formats is also required. The project aims to provide the municipality with a strong, cohesive brand system that can effectively support all future communications and outreach efforts.
