This RFP seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive billing, reimbursement, collection, and administrative services for the Fire Department. The selected proposer will be responsible for receiving patient care reports, face sheets, demographic information, and proper patient signatures, and processing this information for individual parties, insurance companies, Medicare, and Medicaid. Demographic information must be verified prior to billing using resources such as subscription services, hospital verification, or data obtained from patient face sheets.
The billing process will include follow-up activities such as database searches, hospital follow-up, and phone calls to locate patient information, including insurance eligibility, in a timely manner. The vendor will prepare monthly reports detailing all account activity in a standardized format, enabling benchmarking of financial, billing, and collection data and periodic review of financial goals. Quantitative analysis of current billing functions using industry-accepted metrics is also required for measuring, analyzing, and controlling the billing and collection operations.
Additionally, the proposer should provide and manage a cardiac arrest database, offer patient satisfaction survey and reporting tools to quantify contact and perception data, and deliver an electronic patient care reporting (ePCR) solution as a fully hosted service with all relevant securities and safeguards.
