The government authority in Shapleigh, Maine is seeking a vendor to conduct a comprehensive community vulnerability assessment. The assessment will evaluate critical community infrastructure, focusing on climate hazards and how their intensity and likelihood may change over time. It will also analyze infrastructure susceptibility to damage or failure based on factors such as location, design, age, condition, and state of repair. Additionally, the assessment will explore the potential consequences should infrastructure impairment or failure occur within the community.
The selected consultant will work closely with the Town Administrator to establish a working group responsible for overseeing and guiding community engagement, assessment activities, and deliverables throughout the project. The consultant will organize and lead monthly meetings of the working group, facilitate information sharing and provide updates to the community via social media, live streamed Select Board updates, and recordings of agendas and minutes. The contract will span one year.
