An opportunity is available in Maryland for a provider to deliver Community Engagement and Safety Director services. The selected vendor will be responsible for developing and executing strategies focused on safety, hospitality, and outreach, all aimed at enhancing public trust and promoting a secure community environment.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with community organizations, businesses, residents, law enforcement, and service providers. The provider will manage staffing coverage for direct reports and may be required to perform duties of subordinate team members as necessary. In addition, the role involves collecting, analyzing, and reporting safety and engagement data to inform program improvements and measure effectiveness.
Further duties include coordinating public campaigns, training sessions, and events designed to increase community presence and civic involvement. The provider will also assist leadership with investigating and resolving constituent complaints, oversee disciplinary actions and terminations as recommended by supervisors, manage departmental inventory and supplies, and support the development and implementation of employee rewards programs in collaboration with human resources and leadership.
