A government authority in Durango, Colorado is seeking a qualified vendor to provide commissioning agent services for the construction and equipping of a new elementary school. The scope of work will also include major site repairs, replacements, and improvements, installation of safety and security enhancements, upgrades to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, and support for workforce housing initiatives.

The commissioning agent will assist with documenting owner’s requirements as needed, identify and assign commissioning (Cx) responsibilities, and review observation reports and deficiency logs in coordination with the general contractor to ensure that any issues are corrected. Responsibilities also include verifying the accuracy of the final test and balance reports, reviewing MEP submittals and providing feedback alongside the design team, and overseeing systems such as lighting and daylighting controls, communication systems, irrigation systems, and electrical systems.
