Summary:
RFP for cold chain management software with real-time monitoring, alerts, reporting, and logistics management for refrigerated containers in the Bahamas.
(1) Vendor needs to provide cold chain management software. – Enable Real–Time Monitoring and Control: Provide a centralized platform to monitor the temperature, humidity, and location of all refrigerated containers in real–time, with capabilities to remotely adjust settings where applicable. – Ensure Product Integrity and Safety: Implement a robust alert system to notify agency personnel of any deviations from pre–set temperature ranges, equipment malfunctions, or security breaches (e.g., unauthorized door opening), thereby preventing spoilage and ensuring food safety. – Provide Data for Analysis and Reporting: Capture and store historical data on temperature, location, and other relevant metrics to generate comprehensive reports. This data will be used to analyze performance, identify inefficiencies, and provide insights for the national scale–up strategy. – Strengthen Operational Management: Equip agency staff with a user–friendly system to manage inventory, track shipments, and streamline the overall logistics process associated with the cold chain pilot. – The system must be capable of collecting and displaying data from sensors within each reefer at a configurable frequency. This includes real–time temperature and humidity tracking, GPS location, and reefer door status (open/closed). – The ability to generate customizable reports on historical data. Reports should include temperature logs, trip histories, alarm logs, and other performance metrics to support data analysis and decision–making. (2) All the questions must be submitted no later than January 12, 2026.
