The State of Vermont is seeking a qualified vendor to manage the migration of its state systems to the cloud and to provide ongoing support and documentation. Responsibilities include maintaining and supporting cloud environment configurations, managing network connections, and handling necessary software dependency upgrades throughout the contract term. The vendor will also assist with SAS license updates and should demonstrate expertise in relevant cloud technologies such as Elastic Search, Kafka, Microsoft SQL Server, Docker, Kubernetes, Ingress Controller, FluentBit, Istio, Terraform, Rhapsody, and SAS. Additional proficiency with Cert-Manager, Prometheus, and Grafana is considered beneficial.
The selected vendor must prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the migration process. This documentation should support staff training on cloud hosting and maintenance, and include a technical knowledge base, system configurations, best practices, and lessons learned. Additionally, the vendor will be responsible for developing procedures or administration guides for monitoring system uptime and data usage, as well as adjusting cloud resources for cost optimization. The vendor will also provide advice on data flow to facilitate process creation, automation, and effective troubleshooting.
