Foothill Transit in California is seeking a consultant to provide expertise in evaluating and planning the migration of its current on-premise phone system to a cloud-based VoIP platform. The consultant will assess the feasibility and fiscal viability of transitioning to a cloud-based phone system by thoroughly reviewing the agency’s existing telephony infrastructure, including phone lines and system features.

Should the migration be deemed feasible, the consultant will assist in developing a scope of work, support the procurement process, and guide the implementation and decommissioning of the legacy system. Additional responsibilities include evaluating the agency’s network readiness by analyzing LAN and WAN capacity, configuration, firewall compatibility, and redundancy/failover capabilities. The consultant will also provide hands-on support throughout the deployment of the new cloud-based solution.
